I am an independent thinker and a veteran fighter for community interests. I have served as foreperson for one of our state's longest and most significant public corruption grand jury investigations, and is a nationally recognized author and preservationist. I accept neither donations nor endorsements from foreign interests, the only candidate standing without compromise for the people of South Carolina. For decades, I have been on the front lines of income inequality, environmental responsibility, nuclear disarmament and good governance. In 2015, I served as the foreperson for one of South Carolina's longest running public corruption investigations, signing subpoenas and filing indictments that removed seven state legislators from power.
Our democracy belongs to the people, not to billionaires, corporations, or politicians who think they are above the law. I believe we need sweeping federal anti-corruption reforms to restore the rule of law, end dark money, reverse Citizens United, and enforce stronger ethics rules across the legislative and judicial branches. I don't just talk about accountability—I have lived it. As the Foreman of South Carolina’s State Grand Jury during our state’s largest public-corruption investigation, I helped expose a pay-to-play network that led to multiple indictments and removed sitting legislators from office. I also pushed to publicly release a landmark report on campaign finance abuses. Furthermore, we must confront the darkest corners of corruption, including breaking up rings that sexually exploit
For too long, our communities in Fairfield, Allendale, Denmark, Jasper, and so many other areas have been left behind. We have watched hospital closures, industrial failures, and decades of underinvestment take a real toll on our families and our hometowns. I am running to change that. I will fight to bring modern infrastructure and high-speed broadband to every corner of our region. I will work to revitalize our main streets and build the stronger rural healthcare systems we desperately need and deserve. Together, we can create good-paying jobs connected to helping our communities thrive.
I believe that American leadership must always be rooted in human rights and basic human decency. That is why I am calling for a shift in our foreign policy to restore global confidence in our alliances and prevent mass atrocities. When we look at the devastating conflict in Gaza and the West Bank, I stand for peace and justice in Palestine. To achieve this, we must uphold our own laws. I will work to halt all offensive weapons to Israel, ensuring we strictly abide by U.S. laws like the Leahy Law and the Foreign Assistance Act. These laws are clear.
I pledge to work closely with Team SC (our newly elected Governor, Members of the US House, State legislators and City, County elected officials) and Team South ( federal coalitions that include South Carolina) to provide the resources necessary to address our challenges, to bring best practices to our state, and to assist our residents when help is requested on federal projects.

As a relative of service members, I know firsthand the profound sacrifices our military families make. I believe deeply that service to our country must be matched with our service to those who served. That is why I am committed to ending veteran homelessness and expanding access to vital VA healthcare and mental-health services to veterans and spouses. I will also fight to strengthen and protect South Carolina’s military bases, while ensuring our military families have the high-quality housing and support they deserve. Finally, we must expand job opportunities for veterans returning to civilian life. Let's honor their service with the real support they have earned.
